His comments were supposedly of a ‘jokey nature’.
The penalty is on hold until he decides whether to appeal and West Ham statement says they are waiting for the written reasons.
I look forward to hearing them.
Unless he threatened , obstructed or was aggressively abusive to them I am not sure a penalty is appropriate.

Quite right. I got pulled before HR for comments I made to the partner of a corporate law firm that came into our office. However, they let me off as he was called Robin Kunt.

If visitors came to my work and i started ripping them and making jokes about dick pound I'd be in HR and probably sacked like most of us would. So not sure why anyone would think he did not get what he deserved to be honest, funny as it might be to us adults with 5 year old humour :)
